By the way what is about the changes the ITTF is actually thinking about? I heard of a 42mm ball and a higher net. Does the ITTF also plan any new changes about rubbers after you have forbidden to reglue rubbers or to use frictionless pimples? 42mm ball: No plan at the moment. However, if a proposal is made and if accepted, then we must have some research, then some experiments, then some results analyzed and then put to the vote at the Annual general meeting of the ITTF. So this process may take 2-3 years. To change from 38 to 40 mm took 5 years.
Higher Net: The chairman of the ITTF Athletes Commission, Zoran Primorac, favours a higher net. Also the Swiss TTA may make such a proposal. Again, we would need research, analysis, experiments, etc., and then a vote. For the moment we have not received a proposal yet.
Rubbers, Tensor, anti-spin, etc: No plans at the moment.
