Due to the Covid situation with closed halls and aborted leagues the MX-D has not been rolled out officially yet over here.
You can get it exclusively at

but with most halls still closed few people can test it.

Expect more activity in late spring or early summer I´d say, when the halls are open again, or should I say if they are open again.

yes, in Europe same. Russia many players Tibhar Evolution and Butterfly Tenergy rubber. But also not bad DHS Hurricane and Xiom Vega and Omega rubbers.

I know all Tenergy and all Evolution rubbers very well. I would really exactly recommend the same Evolution rubbers for these Tenergy rubbers, like you wrote it.

How is the situation in germany? Do in germany also use so much players Tenergy and Evolution rubbers like in the most other countries? I travel a lot and try to practise in all cities in clubs and where ever I am, you see only Evolution, Tenergy, Evolution, Tenergy, Evolution, ... they "kill" nearly all other rubbers worldwide.

Same in professional sports. The most pros are using Butterfly Tenergy rubbers (Timo Boll, Marcos Freitas, Tiago Apolonia, Andrej Gacina, Alexander Shibaev and much more) and Tibhar Evolution rubbers. (Vladimir Samsonov, Paul Drinkhall, Bojan Tokic, Chen Chien An, Emmanuel Lebesson and much more).

Tibhar Evolution and Butterfly Tenergy rubbers are highend rubbers and dominating table tennis in higher leagues and the ITTF World Tour.
Only DHS Hurricane National-Team-Version is also used so often (but only from asian players on the forehand side).

I changed my rubbers. Before I was using Tenergy 05 and Tenergy 05-FX, now I use Evolution EL-S and FX-S.
Blade is still Innerforce ALC, but I am thinking about to test Tibhar CCA or VS Unlimited or Stiga Carbonado. But this is another issue.

I work also as coach and I have 3 modern defender in my training group. Backhand two are using long pimple and one is using short pimple. Currently they use all 3 Tenergy 05 1.9 on their forehand. But now two are thinking about to chance also to Evolution rubber. I have an idea which rubber I will give to which player. But before I write it, I would like to ask you which Evolution rubber you prefer for the forehand side of modern defenders (topspin and defend with downspin, sometimes block and smash)?

There is one thing to add.

MX-P and FX-P = same topsheet
EL-S and FX-P = same or very similar topsheet, but slighty different to MX-S
EL-P = separate topsheet, exclusive within the series

The rest is observed accurately, I think.

Maybe, I should add following information.
I'm currently not playing with an Evolution rubber although I like them.
None of them works on my backhand (BH) side. On the BH, I'm playing with the Acuda S1 Turbo since it is on the market. It is still the fastest and most direct rubber available. I need this feature for my style of aggressively blocking. The MX-P has a too high throw angle and too much catapult for that and the catapult and power of the MX-S is too low. The EL-S would work, but its feeling is too soft for my BH.
On the forehand (FH) side MX-P, MX-S, and EL-S would somehow work for me. But I think that the Omega V Tour (OVT) is similar but better than the MX-P. It has better control, particularly, for playing topspin against chopping. The MX-S has the highest potential of all Evolution rubbers but needs to be played with high accuracy. I replaced it with my current favorite rubber, which is the Acuda Blue P1 Turbo (P1T). It plays similar to the MX-S but a little bit softer, a bit more dynamically, and a bit less spin. I think that this is currently the most controllable high-end rubber on the market. It does not have any real weakness.
As written above, I'm currently testing the EL-S. It's a very good rubber, but feels really soft compared to the other rubbers I usually prefer. The EL-S is excellent in playing topspin against undercut balls, at least on the same level as the OVT or even better. But because of its softness I have some problems with powerful topspins so far. That's why I have to adjust my technique. Next week, I will test the EL-S directly against the P1T, and see, which of them is better for me. But I assume that I will stay with the P1T.

Hi Paul68,

I'll try to summarize the most important features of the Evolution rubers.
I'm playing with an old classical Korbel Off blade from Japan. It's a heavy and relatively stiff one with a weight of 94 g.
First of all, I have to say that I tried myself the MX-P and MX-S. The EL-S is currently under test. My statements about the other rubbers is obtained from extrapolation and what I read from others.

"P" vs. "S"
"P" stands for power and "S" for spin. This means that the P versions are more powerful compared to corresponding S versions. They have a higher dynamic range (higher catapult effect). On the other hand, the S versions allow for more spin. The differences are caused by the slightly harder sponge in combination with the special surface of the S versions compared to corresponding P versions.

MX vs. EL vs. FX
The MX rubbers have the hardest sponge and a flexible surface. FX rubbers have a similar (or same) surface as MX rubers but a much softer sponge. So, the FX rubbers can be considered as the small brothers of the MX rubbers playing much softer and, of course, less powerful.
The EL rubbers are different. They consist of a (soft-)medium sponge in combination with a less flexible (stiffer) surface. They are very good for blocking and other straight strokes. Particularly, the EL-P is excellent in doing that. The EL-S is very special. It can be considered as a combination of the positive features from MX-P and MX-S but softer feeling. So, players who like the power and spin of the MX rubbers but think that these rubbers are a bit too hard should certainly have a look at the EL-S.

Evolutions vs. Tenergys
First of all, I have to say that I don't play with Butterfly rubbers anymore. One of the reasons is that I don't want to support their price politics. Secondly, the Tenergy rubbers are not good for my style of playing. And this is, why I don't like this kind of comparison. I think that Tenergy rubbers are difficult to play for any kind of passive stroke. This is particularly true for blocking, which is very important for me. Any Evolution rubber (or almost all other ESN rubbers) are better in doing that.
But if you are asking for a Tenergy replacement my personal view is as follows. The MX-S is most similar to the T05 and the FX-S to the T05 FX. The correponding P versions can be considered, too. But they are faster, feel softer, and produce less spin. The EL-S might be also an option for T05 replacement. But the feeling is completely different! I think the EL-S is the best option for replacement of the T64 rubber. The other Tenergy rubbers I don't know.
