Riemannsche Vermutung

es gibt einen (weiteren) Beweisversuch für die Riemannsche Vermutung

Es gibt auch Videos der Autoren, wenn man sich die Reaktionen ansieht, ist dies zumindest kein offensichtlicher Schwachsinn.

Falls die Hypothese, sämtliche nicht-trivialen Nullstellen befinden sich auf der Geraden 0.5 + y*i, bewiesen würde, hieße das u.a., dass die Gaußsche Primzahlenverteilung, welche einen Fehlerterm hat, mit den Nullstellen der Riemannschen Zeta-Funktion zur wirklichen Verteilung moduliert werden kann

Ach was wir wollen doch alle nur die Kohle abstauben, die es für die Lösung eines der Millenniumsprobleme gibt. Im Gegensatz zu Perelman sind wir hier alles Kapitalisten. :)

I I never really though about this. But after reading your question, I would say the biggest issue is not spending enough time on it...a need to dig just a little bit deeper...and just a couple more hours per day. I worked on this for 17 years and many of those years were day in and day out until I could isolate what type of problem the RH really is (not number theory, nor complex analysis...but an existence problem). Most mathematicians could not risk spending that much time on one problem. Their universities would not appreciate a lack of publications, and publishing takes time away from research. Their careers would be in the toilet if they spent as much time on this as I had. Riemann himself certainly did not put enough time into it.

Ever hear of the gold mine that once went "dry"? True story. When the gold ceased to show up after many successful years, the company who owned it figured they could not afford to risk digging any further and decided to sell it. A single individual bought the mine for a bargain. He only needed to dig 12 inches deeper before the gold started to show again and the rest is history. The whole...12 inches deeper sort of thing I guess.
