Liha-Schläger?
 

Bei den US-Open gab es auch eine "Liha"-Klasse, hier das Finale. Hat jemand Ahnung, was das für Schläger/Beläge sind (angeblich Sandpapier :ratlos: )?

Zwischen Liha und Hardbat besteht ein größerer Unterschied als ich dachte!

Liha wird scheinbar wirklich mit Sandpapier gespielt:
Sandpaper covered rackets provided a unique elevation in the development of the fledging sport with the classic skill sets still employed today - such as chopping, pushing, 'chieseling', and fast attacks when the balls were volleyed back even slightly high

Hier der Unterschied zum normalen TT:

The game of “liha” has its own unique rules which somewhat differs from the ITTF Rules. The basic rules are:
1. 38 mm balls either white or orange are used compared to the current rule on Rubber which uses the 40mm ball
2. “ Easy Serve and Easy Return” from right to right half court – player can catch the ball if you do not like your opponents service unlimited times.
3. Game is up to 20 points
4. If score reaches 19-all, first player who reaches 5 points wins the game
5. Best of three games to win a match
6. Player can touch the table with his freehand

Hab nochmal etwas gegooglet. Einige Hersteller bieten auch fertige "Sandpapier"-Schläger an (Stiga "Sandy", Butterfly "Thunder"), aber hier scheint man die nirgends zu bekommen. Hat jemand vielleicht Erfahrungen im selberbauen?
