yes, for next season (from 1st september 2008) boosters are also forbidden. Why? A new wording of the rule 2.4.3 has been approved by the AGM in Guangzhou by which racket coverings can not be modified as they are authorised and sold in the market. That means that neither the playing surface properties nor the sponge of a racket may be modified with any process (physical or chemical). The boosters and tuner modify the properties of the sponge without any control by the players.
