yes, for next season (from 1st september 2008) boosters are also forbidden. Why? A new wording of the rule 2.4.3 has been approved by the AGM in Guangzhou by which racket coverings can not be modified as they are authorised and sold in the market. That means that neither the playing surface properties nor the sponge of a racket may be modified with any process (physical or chemical). The boosters and tuner modify the properties of the sponge without any control by the players.

Meine Rückhand (Speedy Soft) wird im Sommer 19 Jahre alt.
In diesen 19 Jahren wurde sie natürlich nicht immer pfleglich behandelt. Ein Jahr habe ich nur mit NI gespielt. In dem Jahr lag sie samt Schläger in einem Umzugskarton.
Dieser Belag hat doch nicht mehr die gleichen Eigenschaften wie beim Kauf oder wenn ich mir jetzt neu einen Speedy Soft kaufe. Sozusagen modifiziert durch Unterlassung
Was ich befürchte ist, dass jetzt nächste Saison ein paar ganz Schlaue meinen Schläger reklamieren. Und das obwohl die Noppen noch griffig sind und der Belag auf der Zulassungsliste steht.
