Das kommt ziemlich genau hin, die Vorgabe ist im
Handbook for Match Officials (Schiedsrichterhandbuch der ITTF) unter 18.3 beschrieben:
"During a game, the timer should be stopped during significant breaks in play and re-started as soon as the next rally begins. Examples of such breaks are pauses for towelling; the change of ends in the last possible game of a match and delays while the ball is being retrieved from outside the playing area. Retrieving the ball while still in the playing area is not a reason to stop the timer."
Also: Abtrocknen, Seitenwechsel und Ball von außerhalb der Box holen zählt nicht zur Spielzeit, die Sekunden, die ansonsten zwischen zwei Ballwechseln vergehen, aber schon.
