OK, I understand your point now. Yes, you are right, your association was probably one of those that supported the minimum friction level that was passed as a rule by the ITTF. Of course if a national association comes to an ITTF meeting and proposes of supports a specific rule, we have to assume that the association represents the "majority" of the players from that country. Now if more than 90% of the national associations member of the ITTF also support a specific rule, I have to feel as President of the ITTF very confident that this represents overwhekmingly the opinions and desires of the majority of TT players in the world. I can see that in this Forum the views are opposed to the view of the national association and to the rule passed by the ITTF. But in fact, how much does this forum really represent the overall views of all players in your country? As you know, those that do not like a rule will complain about it, but those that are happy with the current rule have no need to exoress themselves. At the end, it is your national association that you need to convince.
