Mid-Week Local Leagues
Within England; table-tennis has a definitive season and off season. During the season, which typically runs from late August through to the end of April, many towns run leagues. These leagues typically comprise of multiple divisions, with each division having 10-12 teams of 3-5 players.
Each team; plays each other team 2 times during a season; one home fixture and one away fixture. In a match there can be several formats, some including doubles matches. The most common format would be that 3 members of one team will play 3 members of the other team. Matches are played out so a 9-0 victory or defeat is a possibility."
