Um die Längs- und Schmalseiten ging es hier aber nicht.
Ich denke auch nicht, dass die Einschränkung, dass Werbung an Tischen nur an den Längs- und Schmalseiten erlaubt ist, die Werbung auf dem Bild ausschließt, und zwar weil die Tischverkleidung m.E. streng genommen nicht Teil des Tisches ist.

Zum zugelassenen Mobiliar innerhalb der Spielbox scheint die Verkleidung aber auch nicht zu zählen:

"The following equipment and fittings are to be considered as part of each playing area: The table including the net assembly, umpires tables and chairs, score indicators, towel and ball boxes, printed numbers identifying the table, surrounds, floor mats, boards on the surrounds indicating the names of players or Associations."
