Nein, ist es nicht - zumindest nicht mehr, da sich ein entsprechender Passus in die ITTF-Regeln 2010 eingeschlichen hat wie ich am Wochenende gelernt habe:
3.2.1.3 The covering material on a side of the blade used for striking the ball shall be currently authorised by the ITTF and shall be identified by the ITTF number (when present), the supplier and brand names and shall be attached to the blade so that this identification is clearly visible nearest the handle.
Das heißt ITTF-Zulassungs-Nummer (sofern vorhanden), Hersteller und Markenname müssen erkennbar sein, wobei diese "Identifikation" in unmittelbarer Nähe des Griffes angebracht sein muss (nearest the handle).
