Siehe Fotos.

Es gibt einen Testbericht in englischer Sprache. Ich kopiere ihn mal hier hinein.

OSP Martin

The newest 7 ply offensive osp blade, FH: Tenergy 64 BH: Tenergy 05fx

I don”t know the layers except the samba core end limba surface, but i wonder the second one is a harder wood. The sort description on the web suspected us it is a fast blade with similar characteristics to musko. It’s real but just in a few astpects. First I describe my feelings with main strokes how I though the feasability than some match experience.

Pushes,backspin.

Pushes wasn’t so easy because the blade has relatively high arc. But making backspins is really a good weapon with it. With little, fast wrist moves you can do great spins which is I think not an usual feature of fast blades like this.

Counter.

During the first hits was felt however we are dealing with a very fast blade but with awsome feeling. So little vibrations are forwarding towards the well known feeling with the right bat angle. Also you can feel it is a hard blade in a good meaning. It has unbelieviable punctuality during both forehand and backhand counter. I really enjoyed the counter mostly the backhand it has smart and sharp loud sound like a little crash. Very good and also fast wrist hits can be done wtih it

Topspins

I found little bit harder the perfect angle than usually some first slow loop was a kind of spinless and weak and the hard ones has landed towards one table away but after a little stroke shortening and little more wrist play I managed the spin factor easily. I did beautiful sidespin loops and those were great low arc and flawless as I expected it.The harder topspins was like a hit as a modern one but I liked it very much especially during counter topspins. The sound factor was also great like fresh glued rubbers.however it wasnt glued just with WBG. By the way the arc of the loops was little bit higher than ultimate and musko, but not as high as a 5ply woods off course. The orbits were long and also flat and accelerated so it was quite unpleasant for my partners. Its strenght was I think the first topspin against backspin and pushes it was really easy and pleasure.

Drop shot, counter spin

This stroke need some attention in case of hit angle mainly for those who don’t use 7ply (or more) or carben blade like me. But if you find the right angle than you can do short drops, little pushes or fine hits as well. I had problem with the counter spin above or close to the table becasue it wasn’t so easy to handle the opponents spins, I didn’t understand it why but after a while it goes clearly in my mind I can hit the incoming loops with ease, and my partners also didn’t understand me how could I do it. So flat hitting is just so easy..but counter spin close to the table would need more practise,

Serve and receive, first points

Short serves with sidespins wasn’t succeed. I could do only underspin as a short one. But soon I realised with more wrist and more practise needed to make good spins, but the longer sidespin serves were surprisingly good, it seemed the more speed of this blade was a litle help to make it succesful. But I served more underspin than I used to beacue I’ve known the firts loop will be very easy. Receiving is also a sweet surprise, it is very easy to drop them short close the net, long pushes and flicks was also very good I could adapt them fast. I had little problem with the fast and jumped serves only because my receives were too high and the partners killed my balls, but I could offset them with my short empty serves and after good first flicks often as a finishing shot

After 2x3 hours training int he weekend I commit my setup in a competiton. As I wrote before I operated with my first topspins very good, Those was almost always succesful against weaker opponents. Against better players who can dropp or loop my loops back I had more problem because the faster reaction would need better and punctual strokes from me.

Often failed in close to table rallies, I can hardly control the game but durng counter topspinning rallies I had good succes!! it was self confidence enhancer so in total I won better than expected. In my opinion how ever I could not control my racket good enough my hits was more convincing.

Against the more weaker partners I won but not so easy. The harder players who often loose against me were unable to compete with me! But the more better players beat me more ease than I expected. It means for me to get familiar with OSP Martin is not enough to play 2-3 times. Only with more and hard trainings, good fixed schemes and punctual strokes this blade can be great killing weapon.

OSP Martin is desinged to a spinny-agressive offensive game, For those who like OFF,OFF+ 7 ply wood or carbon blades but looking for more spin and feeling I can advise it, but who play with 5 ply wood like me keep using them or change onto Ulimate instead to play faster game.
