For me, the most interesting defender is Joo Se Hyuk, because of his modern active defense play, with a great backhand chop and an ENORMOUS forehand topspin
. There are some other active defenders, like Chen Weixing, Ding Song, Panagiotis Gionis, or the young Chinese Hou Yingchao, and I think that it's through this style that table tennis will interest more and more spectators, especially in Europe.
