Ich habe die CL nicht verfolgt und weiß daher auch nicht wer wann oder warum aufgegeben hat. Aber nach dem Handbook des ITTF kann die Aufgabe bestraft werden, wenn sie nicht aufgrund einer Krankheit oder Verletzung statt findet.

3.05.03.01 Players, coaches and officials shall uphold the object of good presentation of the sport and safeguard its integrity by refraining from any attempt to influence the elements of a competition in a manner contrary to sporting ethics:
3.05.03.01.01 Players have to do their utmost to win a match and shall not withdraw except for reasons of illness or injury.
3.05.03.01.02 Players, coaches and officials shall not participate in any form of or support betting or gambling related to their own matches and competitions.
3.05.03.02 Any player who deliberately fails to comply with these principles shall be disciplined by total or partial loss of prize money in prize events and/or by suspension from ITTF events.
