Vergleich es mal mit Doping. Bei Olympia gab es diverse überführte Dopingsünder, die nach Absitzen ihrer Sperre wieder bei Olympia teilnehmen durften. Deren Erfolge wurden von den Medien, den Zuschauern vor Ort, von ihren Konkurrenten und der Öffentlichkeit vollkommen anders bewertet als die Erfolge anderer Sportler. Und ich finde das vollkommen richtig so.
Folgende Analogie lässt sich bilden: In einer rein körperlichen Sportart (Schwimmen, Radfahren, Gewichtheben) des Dopings überführt zu werden, ist wie im Tischtennis vom Schiedsrichter einen Aufschlag abgezählt zu bekommen.
In beiden Fällen hat man:
- die Regeln gebrochen
- wurde dafür bestraft
- hat einen temporären Nachteil (Wettkampfsperre bzw. den einen Punkt abgezählt bekommen und den Aufschlag kurzfristig etwas abändern)
- kann langfristig wieder so weiter machen wie vorher
- erzielt damit Erfolge, die einen faden Beigeschmack haben
Genauso wie überführte Dopingsünder kaum Beifall bekommen, bekommen überführte Aufschlagssünder kaum Beifall. So ist das hier passiert. Und nicht nur hier. Das folgende sind alles Zitate aus einem Thread bei mytt.net zu der Europameisterschaft:

I had the opportunity to watch the Viktor Yefimov - Par Gerell match from right behind the table. Gerell was 1:0 down in sets and he threw in his borderline serves. The Ukrainian had huge difficulty receiving them and he was complaining throughout the rest of the match about Gerell hiding his serves. In all honesty, quite of few of Gerell's serves looked blatantly hidden to me. The point of contact could not be seen at all, only the ball suddenly coming out from behind his hip. The umpires did not call him for hiding his serve.
