Ich sehe das auch so wie Haudruff. Auf der Seite der Senioren-WM steht seit dem 11.3. Folgendes:

"To all the participants of the next World Veterans Table Tennis Championships 2020 (WVC2020) in Bordeaux. Many of you have been asking us about the consequences of the current expansion of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) as it relates to our tournament. We have been and will remain in close contact with the authorities on the subject, and we are strictly following the rules of the French State. The current French government restrictions are in effect until April 15, 2020. Therefore, the 2020 World Veterans Table Tennis Championships will indeed take place in Bordeaux, from 8 to 14 June 2020 as planned. We will communicate to you by email, on our website and on social networks in the event that the situation should change. We are looking forward to seeing you in Bordeaux in June."

Wer ein bisschen Englisch beherrscht, stellt fest, dass sich die Veranstalter strikt an die Vorgaben der französischen Behörden/Regierung halten. Da die aktuellen Einschränkungen bis 15.4. gelten, warten die Veranstalter diesen Termin bzw. mögliche Änderungen der Situation ab.

Ich finde, man sollte den gemeldeten Teilnehmern ruhig das bisschen Hoffnung in der aktuellen Situation gönnen. So haben sie wenigstens ein (Tischtennis-)Ereignis, auf das sie sich zumindest momentan noch freuen können.
