Um zu zeigen, daß andere Länder, darunter TT-Zwerge wie Brasilien und Kanada mehr TT übertragen als deutsche Sender, hier eine kleine Übersicht langfristiger Verträge zur Übertragung der ITTF-Pro-Tour:


ESPN STAR Sports, Asia
Up to six (6) hours of coverage of each Major event on the 1998 ITTF Pro Tour. 60 million TV-homes in the South East Asia with 20 million households alone in China. Contract until year 2002.

JSkyB, Japan
Up to six (6) hours per Major event. Newly established Japanese satellite-channel with a targeted 10 million households in the future. Contract until year 2001.

Sport 1 is a sport channel on UPC (United Pan-European Communications), Europe Full coverage of ITTF Pro Tour events from September 1999 until conclusion of Pro Tour 2000. Sport 1 is available in Austria, Belgium, The Netherlands, Romania and Switzerland. Between six (6) to eight (8) hours of coverage from each event.

ESPN Brasil
NUMBER OF SUBSCRIBERS : 2.200.000
COUNTRIES COVERED : Brasil only

WHICH SATTELITE : DirecTV / Brasilsat 1
Shows all four (4) Finals from each event. Cable network inside Brazil with 1 million subscribers. New agreement for 2000 Pro Tour with coverage of all events.

Sky Sports, U.K.
One hour highlights package starting with the ITTF Pro Tour Finals 1997 and will include all Major 1998 ITTF Pro Tour event & Finals. Sky Sports is a satellite station with a "crypt" signal i.e. you have to subscribe to the program to be able to receive it. Around 6 million subscribers inside the U.K. and is being considered as very successful inside the U.K. TV -scene.

RDS, Canada
Canadian TV sport network in the French language will carry all Major Pro Tour events plus the Grand Finals 1999. Broadcasts the one (1) hour highlights show.

Pathe Sport, France
French Sports satellite network taking all Pro Tour events plus Grand Finals. Will broadcast in the French language and will show up to six (6) hours per event. Unique agreement in close cooperation with the French Table Tennis Federation (FFTT). Agreement in place until year 2003.

FOX Sports, USA
USA + English speaking Caribbean 4.5 million subscribers, nationwide Channel is available on digital cable, DirecTV and Echostar (DTH services) Website is: www.foxsportsworld.com (programming schedules available for download) Fox Sports World is the only sports channel in the USA dedicated to international sport - mostly soccer, rugby and cricket.

Teledeporte, Spain
Will broadcast the one (1) hour highlights show inside their Spanish network from all Pro tour events plus the Grand Finals.

Wijza TV, Poland
Will broadcast the one (1) hour highlights show inside their Polish network from all Pro tour events plus the Grand Finals.
