I am not saying you are wrong but can you provide documentation ? I think you may be confusing 2 color rule with max pimple length.

I think you may be wrong because as far as I know ITTF passed the AR regulation reduction in 1998 which reduced the AR from 1.3 to 1.1 for slim pips. I think the 0.89 limit for wide pips already existed before that. But if you provide documentation that will be great

That is what I thought. It was brilliant on the part of Scholer to pass it as a regulation change (only required a simple majority (51% vote)of the ITTF Executive council at Durban and not the 75% of vote for General members at 1995 AGM. Even more brilliant was Scholer’s follow up with pip density reduction in 2004 & frictionless pips ban, both as regulation changes and not as rule changes)

I actually saw it somewhere but cannot it. But I remember it saying that the vote was as close as possible like 19 for and 17 against or something.

I am not talking about boosting. The rule 2.4.7 was passed in 2008 but never repealed but all loopers act like no such rule exists. I was talking about the spin glue ban around 1993 or so & its repeal in 1995
