2.15 Wiping and Delaying Play
2.15.1 A player shall not deliberately touch the playing surface with the hand or any part of the body between rallies for the purpose of wiping perspiration, except with the towel at the designated intervals.
2.15.2 Any action that unnecessarily delays the resumption of play, including repeated wiping of the hand on the table, shall be regarded as a delay of play.
2.15.3 The umpire shall warn a player for the first offence. A repeated offence shall result in a yellow card for delay of play. Persistent offences may result in further penalties according to 3.05 (Disciplinary Actions).
