SCOTT'S CHINA EXPERIENCE
Well I have been here for 1 month already. Things are going well. Training is Monday-Friday 8.30 - 11.00am, and 3.00 - 5.30pm, and Saturday 8.30 - 11.30am. Sunday is a rest day.
If that is not enough there are optional training sessions in the evenings. This gives me at least 30 hours of training per week. Training is quite hard, both mentally and physically.
I always feel tired after training, especially in the legs, although this is improving. There was even 2 training sessions on Christmas day as it is not a big event here. The players I am training with are aged between 12 - 18 and of a very high standard, the best ones would be as good as, if not better than Simon Gerarda and Russell Lavale. So far I have only beaten 6 out of 14 players here in competitive matches.
The language barrier is proving difficult with only a few speaking English of any description. The people here have gone out of their way to make me feel welcome. I eat at a restaurant just down the road, all the food in this region of China is spicy which is taking some getting used to.
I have my own room at the Club, which is quite nice, probably the equivalent of an Australian 3 star hotel. I have only had a couple of days of sight seeing, but what I have seen is very beautiful. It is really cold also and they say it will snow soon. It hasn't been above 20 degrees since I have been here.
Best Regards .......... Scott Houston.

Aha!
