[PALIA]

i consider "to kill a mockingbird" (by harper lee) to be my favourite english book. though it´s particulary funny, there is a very sad story behind it. it twists the message that an innocent, black man has been accused of commiting sexual abuse. this novel can be read and understood at various levels, it depends on the reader´s ability to realize the extent of prejudice, segregation and all the hypocritical stuff used against black people in the south. the whole story makes me being more aware and sensitive ever since.
