?? New racket for modern and classic defense style

Currently I am playing with this racket:

blade: stiga allround oversize

forehand: tibhar genius 1.8
backhand: friendship 837 ox

I have some questions:

Now I am playing my backhand long pimple out rubber without sponge (ox). What would happen, if I try 0.5 or 1.0 mm sponge? Which differences, advantages and disadvantages would be?

Is 1.0 mm in comparation to OX a big difference? And would be 0.5 mm a reasonable compromise?

Can you give recommendations (blade, forehand and backhand rubber) for these playing systems:

(A) modern defense style (good control for backhand defense chopping, but enough power for forehand topspins)

(B) classic defense style (very good control for backhand and forehand defense chopping)

blades (A)? blades (B)?

forehand rubbers (A)? forehand rubbers (B)?

backhand rubbers (A)? backhand rubbers (B)?

Thank you!

Between OX and 1.0 mm, there is a big difference.
With OX you have a direct feeling to your blade, a hard contact but with a good technique you'll have a good control. But you must know how to play with OX, the technique is different, not all shots are possible and sometimes you have to do unusual things like blocking Topspins with an opened degrees racket.

With 1.0 mm you can play more like with a pimple-in rubber. Block will be possible with a closed degrees racket. Block, Counter and even Topspin will be much more easy than with OX.
But the control will go down. The rubber is with an 1.0 mm sponge much faster and you'll have more catapult and not anymore this direct feeling to your blade.

yes, there is a big difference between 1.0 mm and OX. And I would say, that 0.5 mm is a really good compromise between these two extremes.
