Dang QIU commented, "It was a good and confident win for us. Maintaining energy and avoiding missteps are crucial during the group stage. Our primary goal is to finish first, and it's imperative to win every game. While surprises can always occur, we are well-prepared for any challenges. We hope to continue in the same vein."

Timo BOLL added, "It went quite well tonight. As a team, we played solidly and didn't allow any slip-ups. We maintained a high level of focus. We can be satisfied with our performance, but we must remain cautious in the return matches."

Felix WETZEL : "We knew we were the underdogs here. But we fought for every ball and it would have been nice if we could have won a set or even a game, but it was very difficult today. And for me, a childhood dream came true to play against Timo. I tried to give it my all, but it wasn't enough."
