Der Veranstalter aus Bordeaux scheint ja nicht bereit zu sein, das bezahlte Startgeld zurück zu zahlen, wenn einer das Turnier dank „Corona“ abgesagt, storniert hat. Wenigstens warte ich noch vergebens auf eine Rückerstattung. Wie geht es euch dabei? Oder nehmt ihr alle einfach 2021 dafür teil .... falls es dann überhaupt ausgespielt wird?

Ich bin sicher auch bereit, meinen Rechtsschutz zum Einklagen / zur Rückerstattung des Startgeldes einzuschalten. Was ist eure Meinung dazu?

Sorry für die späte Antwort. Nein leider nicht. 240 Euro sind mir die Franzosen schuldig. Die Lufthansa dazu noch den Flug. Nächstes Jahr teilnehmen ist bei mir praktisch nicht möglich, da zum gewählten Zeitraum keine Ferien sind.

Bin sehr enttäuscht von der Handhabung des Ganzen, aber wenn ich nachdenke, nein auch wieder nicht, wir sprechen ja von Frankreich als Ausrichter!

Es wird wohl eine Menge Absagen für den neuen Termin geben, wie ich so höre.

Alles andere als eine komplette Rückzahlung bei Stornierung wäre eine Frechheit.

Die Lufthansa hat mir immerhin nach Wochen mal geantwortet. Es wäre ja so viel zu tun und ich müsste warten bis ich an der Reihe bin. Ich bräuchte auch nicht mehr nachzufragen, das würde den Prozess unterbrechen.

Der neue Termin liegt unmittelbar nach dem letzten Spieltag in Hessen. Partien an diesem letzten Spieltag dürfen nicht vorverlegt werden, bzw. nur innerhalb der Spielwoche ... Bin gespannt, wie unser Verband damit umgeht.

Bei uns in der Schweiz wird die Bordeaux-Woche auch an beiden Wochenenden umrahmt von Play-Off sowie Auf- und Abstiegsspiele in den Nationalligen. Der Verband möchte die Termine nicht verschieben.Deswegen ist es noch unklar, wie unser Verein bzw. betroffene Spieler die Prioritäten setzen werden.

Eines ist wohl jedem klar, es ist eine Sauerei, wie die Verantwortlichen in Frankreich mit den Startgeldern und die Verantwortlichen der Lufthansa mit unserem Geld umspringen. Zum Glück habe ich über Expedia meine Hotelkosten erstattet bekommen. Wie im April 2021 fast 5000 Teilnehmer aus aller Welt in Frankreich einfallen werden, ist mir noch ein Rätzel. Wenn es bis dahin keinen Impfstoff gibt und die Verhältnisse wie in Budapest sind, keine Sitzplätze, Getränke und Essen nur nach unendlicher Wartezeit, war auch in Schweden nicht besser, frage ich mich wirklich, ob diese Veranstaltungen nicht einfach zu groß geraten sind. Von der Lufthansa ist mir nur die Stornierung mitgeteilt worden. Also wegen Urlaub, Rundenspiele oder sonstiger Verpflichtungen im April 2021 kann nun der Veranstalter wirklich nichts. Zum Glück sind die Senioren stark belastbar, auch im Geldbeutel werden sich noch Reserven finden lassen. Schlimmer haben es die anderen Werttätigen erwischt, die teilweise mit Kurzarbeit -0 auskommen müssen. Also so bei 1200* im Monat liegen.

Soeben kam vom Veranstalter eine Mail mit den Modalitäten zur Rückerstattung der Startgebühren.

WVC2020 Cancellation Conditions

2 different specific cases have to be taken into account:

Case of cancellation and refund request prior to 26/03/2020,
These requests will be reimbursed according to our general terms and conditions (GTC)that were applied for that period (see website).

Case of cancellation and refund request made from 26/03/2020,
These refund requests will be reimbursed according to the conditions below.

The Organizing Committee, in accordance with French law and order 2020-538 of 7 May 2020 "related to the financial conditions for the termination of certain contracts in the event of force majeure in the cultural and sports sectors", did determined the conditions concerning the modification and cancellation of your participation in WVC2020, following its postponement to the period from 26 April to 02 May 2021.

1/ Due to the postponement of WVC2020, all purchases concerning registration fees (players/accompanying persons), hotel room, tourist activities or shop purchase, bought only via the official website of the competition, by the participants, induce a credit note equivalent to their purchases and are therefore automatically carried over to the new dates.

2/ The WVC2020 competition is postponed from April 26th to May 02nd 2021, under the same commercial conditions for all our services.

Consequently:

• Any refund request made between 26 March 2020 and 02 October 2020 included, will result in a full refund of the cost incurred (less miscellaneous bank fee).

• After 02 October 2020, requests for cancellation will result in the following cancellation fees:

50% fee for a refund request of the costs of player/accompanying person registrations made before 16 December 2020 and 100% fee from this date, (less miscellaneous bank fee).

50% fee for a refund request of the costs of hotel room and tourist and shopping services made before 16 December 2020, 70% fee before 16 February 2021 and 100% fee from this last date, (less miscellaneous bank fee).

The Organizing Committee will process requests for reimbursement from September 01, 2020, on a first-come, first-served basis as quickly as possible.

To proceed to your refund, your request must reach us by email at contact@wvc2020.com, specifying imperatively :

- Your invoice number and the amount to be refunded

- Your IBAN / BIC or RIB numbers and name of your bank with surname / first name of the bank account holder

- or credit card number that purchased the service

Requests for modification of stay duration in the hotel as well as modification of tourist activities or shops will also be taken into account without any charge.

The Organizing Committee will process requests for reimbursement from September 01, 2020, on a first-come, first-served basis as quickly as possible.

PS: All requests that have already been sent to us by email before today have already been taken into account.
