Sie ist eine Legende und hat mit 60 (!!!!!!!!) Jahren immer noch starkes 1. Bundesliga Niveau.
Dabei sieht man ihr immer an, wieviel Spaß sie noch beim Tischtennis spielen hat. Sie macht das sicher nicht (nur) aus finanziellen Gründen, sondern vor allem aus Freude.

Ni Xia Lian gibt beim Feeder in Düsseldorf gerade ihr Comeback nach Verletzung. Im Juli wird sie 63 Jahre alt. Ihr erklärtes Ziel ist die Teilnahme an Olympia im Sommer 2028.
Witziger Fun Fact: Das Renteneintrittsalter in Luxemburg liegt bei 65 Jahren. Sollte Ni Xia Lian also wirklich bis Sommer 2028 spielen und an den Olympischen spielen Teilnehmen wäre sie der erste Tischtennis Profi der behaupten kann wirklich eine volle Berufskarriere bis zur Rente gespielt zu haben.

Was wäre für sie der einfachste Weg sich für Olympia zu qualifizieren? Sie gilt als ausgewiesene Expertin im Doppel und Mixed, geht damit die Qualifikation?
