T2 APAC recently announced the first batch of 13 players confirmed to participate in the pioneering table tennis league, including current women’s World No.5 and multiple Olympic medalist Feng Tianwei (Singapore), sixth-ranked Cheng I-Ching of Chinese Taipei, 2015 European women’s singles champion Elizabeta Samara, and on the men’s side, the evergreen World No.8 Vladimir Samsonov (Belarus), a six-time Olympian and semi-finalist at Rio 2016, World No.15 Joo Saehyuk of Korea, and former World Junior Table Tennis Championship singles champion Chen Chien-An (Chinese Taipei).

Ich finde den Ansatz gut, TT über verschiedene Formate wie z.B. hier T2 oder TTX zu präsentieren. Mit der entsprechenden Aufmachung wird das Event sichtbar und verspricht den interessierten Zuschauern viel Spaß an der Sportart. Für Spieler und Spielerinnen ist sicherlich auch das Preisgeld interessant. Ich bin gespannt, ob und wie dieses Event beim Publikum ankommt.

Für mich bislang, unabhängig von den Regeln und der Show, sehr professionell alles.

Neben samsonov drinkhall shibaev chen mizutani kommt jetzt auch schwedens nr. 1 m. Karlsson dazu.

Er gibt dafür sogar pontoise nach 1 Saison auf und wechselt zurück nach halmstad.
Dort hat er mehr Zeit, kann mehr trainieren. Hauptziel ist wm 2018 in halmstad (ich nehme an Team wm ???).

Na ja, muss sich pontouise auch wieder 1 suchen ... ob freitas bleibt ??

Wird der laufende Satz eigentlich nach 24 Minuten direkt unterbrochen oder noch zu Ende gespielt? Rein theoretisch könnte man somit also auch 0-0 spielen

Die Regeln oder soviele Sätze wie möglich in bestimmter Zeit klingen kurios und gewöhnungsbedürftig.

Fakt ist aber diese Liga-/-Turnierform in Hongkong finanziell stark aufgestellt ist. Unrecherchiert liest man von 1,5 Millionen Preisgeld die in dem Halbjahreszeitraum ausgeschüttet werden. Bei derartigen Summen bekommt man auch entsprechende Interessenten, welche Regeln man auch immer aufstellt.

Irgendein chinesischer Geschäftsmann erfindet eine neue "Liga" inkl. obskurer Regeln und praktisch ohne Zuschauer. Details werden nicht genannt, trotzdem haben offenbar schon einige Top-Spieler unterschrieben. Kann nur an den 1,5 Mio liegen. Übrigens hat Samsonov dieses lächerliche "Interview" sicher nicht gegeben.
